BEIJING-- The high-performance, inexpensive synthetic intelligence design released recently by Chinese start-up DeepSeek has developed a wave of attention around the world. DeepSeek-R1 appears to use efficiency that competitors alternatives from the U.S., but the business says it was developed at less than a tenth of the cost of those models.
